- William H. Baker was born on February 18, 1897
- Appointed South Brunswick Township Engineer in 1929 and served through 1962
- In 1964 Baker was appointed to a special commission to plan for the county’s 300th anniversary
- President and Founder of the first South Brunswick Historical Society in 1969
- Baker wrote several papers about the history and people of South Brunswick
- Baker was awarded a medallion from the State of New Jersey for his compilation of South Brunswick history in 1964
