
- Moved to Kendall Park in 1959. She postponed her interest in painting in order to raise five children who were close in age. When she was in her 50’s she resumed painting and received a scholarship to the Mason Gross School of the Arts
- Developed her own style in creating abstract images via mixed-media collage techniques. She has used acrylics, pastels, charcoal, paper cutouts, colored pencils, and so on in the process of creating unique shapes and forms. In her more realistic work, she has received much praise for her paintings of Native Americans. Many of her works have been featured in local exhibits, such as in the South Brunswick Arts Commission showings; the Senior Citizen Center; the Chapin School; and the Wetherill historic site
- Has given art and music lessons to children and senior citizens for many years. She has encouraged many in the community to express themselves in both painting and piano playing. She has participated in the “Art Goes Public” program at the Brunswick Acres School, the North Brunswick Library, and the South Brunswick Senior Center
“I want to encourage people to keep going at it (i.e. painting) . . . I want to share my gifts with others and I want to hopefully keep going.”
