
- Is currently serving as Commissioner on the South Brunswick Commission on Women and the South Brunswick Board of Education
- Has worked with parents, students, and teachers to advocate for awareness of mental health and stress. This resulted in the District’s Homework Policy and Homework Free Holidays
- Was instrumental in organizing the South Brunswick Domestic Violence Awareness Walk
- Member of The Municipal Alliance Against Substance Abuse. Ms. Mehta has focused on the dangers of vaping and e-cigarette use
- Is task force member of the District Equity Committee and the New Jersey School Boards Association Equity Committee
