


Mrs. Brabson was loved by so many. She touched the lives of so many children and that is what inspired this design. A pure clear crystal heart symbolizes her love for teaching from which a tree of life emanates. Red Malaysia Jade is used for the leaves to represent all the young minds she stimulated with her teaching. In certain ancient cultures, quartz is thought to be divine and alive, as is knowledge is thought to be the same. The focal piece is 2” x 2” and hangs from a chain adjustable up to 33”.

About Gloria Brabson
Gloria Brabson Worked as a teacher in South Brunswick from 1941-1980. She started her teaching career at the Monmouth Junction School in 1941 after graduating from the New Jersey State Teachers College at Trenton (TCNJ). She was Assistant Principal at the Dayton School for one year in the 1940s. Mrs. Brabson was offered the position of Principal at the Deans School but declined and transferred back to the new Monmouth Junction School in 1949 to work with her students. She was offered more lucrative teaching positions in other districts, but declined because her “heart” was always in her home community of South Brunswick. Mrs. Brabson ended her teaching career at Crossroads High School as a reading specialist after 39 years of service to the community.
